Today I am going to share with y’all a recipe Jacob and I have put together ourselves! It’s super easy to make and very budget friendly! I had everything in the pantry but the sauce, I was able to find it at our local commissary! Which means you should be able to find it at your Walmart! I’m going to link down below the sauce and fried rice I picked up and some picture! I hope y’all enjoy this recipe! I would love to know if any of y’all try this and how it turns out! Let me know if you have any questions!
Panda Express Orange Chicken
1 cup of all-purpose flour
2 chicken breast, cut into small pieces
Salt and Pepper
2 tablespoons of water
Vegetable oil, for frying
Panda Express sauce
*Heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until sprinkles of flour starts to sizzles immediately.*
In a plastic bag, mix the flour and some salt and pepper. In a bowl, mix the 2 eggs with 2 tablespoons of water. Dip the pieces of chicken into the egg wash then put the chicken nuggets into the plastic bag with the flour and shake the bag. Fry the chicken, in batches if needed, until golden brown or cooked to 165. On a plate place about 4 paper towels to soak up excess oil. Once all the chicken nugget are cooked put them into the mixing bowl then slowly add in the Panda Express sauce (we used less than half for about 20 chicken nuggets)
Serve over fried rice.
